Abstract | ||
This study carried out on sportsman groups in some trans centers in Karbala . (40) male volunteers of the sports man which taken on for this nutritional supplement by mouth, and classified into four groups, the first in clouds (10) sportsman smokers which take for the nutritional supplement , and the second group was (10) sportsman nonsmokers which take for nutritional supplement . the third group was (10) sportsman smokers which non taken for nutritional supplement and the fourth group was (10) sportsman which nonsmokers and non-taken for nutritional supplement which use as control group. The study was aimed to determine the effect of some nutritional supplement on some levels of enzymes ( AST ) and ( ALT ) and levels of protein such as total protein, albumin and globulin levels of blood sugar and testosterone hormone and some biochemical parameters such as cholesterol, triglycerides, High density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein in this study comes up with the following result 1- Significant increase (P> 0.05) in mean levels of concentration enzymes ( AST ) and ( ALT) and levels of blood sugar and cholesterol, triglycerides and low density lipoprotein for three groups to the sportsman which taken and non taken the nutritional supplement, smokers and nonsmokers compared with control group. 2- Significant increase (P> 0.05) in mean levels of concentration of total protein for two groups to the sportsman which taken for the nutritional supplement, in both smokers and nonsmokers compared with control group. 3- Non Significant (P<0.05) in mean levels of concentration of total protein in sportsman group non taken for the nutritional supplement smokers, compared with control group. 4- Significant decrease (P> 0.05) in mean levels of concentration of testosterone hormone and high density lipoproteins compared with control group. 5- Non Significant (P<0.05) in mean levels of concentration of albumin and globulin for three groups to the sportsman which taken and non taken for the nutritional supplement, in both smokers and non smokers compared with control group. | ||
