Abstract | ||
This study has been achieved to show the effect of adding chitosan to the fodder in the productive Performance (450) broiler chickens which are non sexed of Ross 308, These chickens are of one-day-old and have been distributed randomly into six treatments : three repetition for every single treatment (every repetition consists of 25 broiler chickens).The First treatment is a controlling one that is free of any addition ; while the treatments from the second to sixth include addition (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1) g/kg fodder successively(1-35) days. The findings indicate that the addition of chitosan leads to significantly increase body weight of the chicken in the fifth week (P<0•05) and the average of total daily gain weight increase for the treatments T4, T5, T6, and adding (0.6, 0.8 and 1)g/kg chitosan results in significantly increase (P<0•05) for the total consumption average of fodder for the treatments T4 compared to T1 and T3, and no significantly observed in the average of feed conversion compared with the control treatment. | ||
