Fifteen species of marine fungi were isolated , Imperfect fungi consist seven species viz Camarosporium roumeguerii , Dictyosporium pelagicum , Monodictys pelagica , Phoma laminariae , P. marina , Stagonospora haliclysta and Trichocladium achrasporum , while eight species were belonging to Asmomycota viz Aniptodera chesapeakensis , Leptosphaeria marina , L. neomaritima , Mycosphaerella pneumatophora , Pleospora pelagica , Verruculina enalia , Zopfiella latipes and Z . marina . Some environmental characteristics of water samples from four stations in Thi-Qar marshes were determined. Water temperatures ranging between 130 – 360 C .
