Abstract | ||
The holy shrines in Iraq have a spiritual and emotional dimension for a great majority of people who intend to visit them due to the fact that Allah's, the Most High, best and most pious creatures and also the ambassadors of goodwill and the most purified , the infallible and the most knowledgeable lie dead in them . Visiting such holy shrines was and is still of great importance for all Muslims in general and for the Shiites in particular . Consequently some rulers who governed Iraq , all through the years, took a great care of these shrines and the reasons behind that care was either political or religious . The present research tries to shed light on the most prominent stages of construction of those shrines which witnessed focusing on a certain period of the contemporary history of Iraq which a great majority have no idea about such stages of construction and the way they were directed . That was clarified by official documents represented by notes and correspondences between various departments and institutions of the Iraqi state , especially those responsible for the administration and construction of the holy shrines , the endowments institutions . The documents were ordered in a way where one could benefit from them and be acquainted with the stages of construction and the way they were administered in a way which ensures their being historically documented so as to be an important tributary for those researchers who are interested in searching and writing about the contemporary history of the holy shrines and in particular , Husain and Abbas holy shrines in Karbala | ||
