This study was conducted during winter season of 2012-2013 in unheated plastic house at College of Agriculture, Basrah University. The objective of the experiment was to study the effect of applying seaweed concentrate (2.5 ml/l) or not and extract of garlic (50 ml/l) or not on growth and yield of two hybride varieties of tomato Lycoperscon esculantum Mill. "Randy and Evolet" . Randomized Complete Block Design was used with three replicates. L.S.D. Taste was used at probability of 0.05 to compare mean variations . Results can be summarized as follows:- Evolet Plants gave significant increases in plant height, total leaf number/plant, flowers number/inflorescence, fruit weight, fruit number/plant, total yield /plant and total production of plastic house were 108.3g , 33.9 fruit, 3.655kg and 5.483 tons. Treatment with seaweed concentrate have no significant effect in all studied parameters except decrease plant height, leaf number under the first inflorescence and fruit weight. While plant treatment with extract of garlic have no significant effect in all studied vegetative growth parameters and inflorescences number/plant, but gave significant increases in the flower number in the first inflorescence, flowers and fruits number/plant, total yield /plant and total production of plastic house were 35.2 fruit, 3.083 kg and 4.625 tons. | ||
