Abstract | ||
The study was carried outto study plant hormone contentof Pollen grains for nine seedling strains of male date palm in addition to Ghannami Akhdarcultivar and their Influence on Barhi and Sayer cultivars production in Al-Mahaweel date palm station at province of Babil. Results was shown that the highest content of auxin (IAA) was recorded in clone 9 and Ghannami Akhdar (5.359 and 5.486 micrograms / kg fresh weight respectively). Ghannami Akhdar also gave the highest content of Kinetin (5.376 micrograms / kg). While, clone 2 and 5 gave the highest content of Gibbereline (GA3) (10.875 and 10.699 micrograms/kg respectively). The highest concentration of Abscisic acid (7.971 micrograms/kg fresh weight) found in pollen of clone 3.The impact of pollen grains resource in the qualities of productivity was recorded. Barhi and Sayer fruits hashigher fruit set when pollinatedwith clone 6 pollen grain in the first season and clone 2 in the second season.while, clone 3 and clone 1 in the first season and clone 5 in the second season, recorded the highest fruit abscission percentage .Clone 2 and 5, gave the highest rate in the maturity of Barhi and Sayer and fruits for both seasons. Also, clones 7 and 8 and cultivar Ghannami Akhdarrecorded highest total weight of the raceme and winning. Barhi cultivar was superior than Sayer in traits studied (fruit set , bunch weight and total weight per palm) in the three stages of maturity Khallal, Rutab and Tamer for both seasons. | ||
