| This study has been applied to the players involved in 2014 Iraq Epee Youth Championship which was held in Baghdad. The study has shown a lack of significant correlation between the length of the weapon arm with the first-touch obtained victories. (90) bouts were held in the initial preliminaries, (64) of them ended for the benefit of the First Touch Record in a percentage amount of (71.11%.) The other (26) bouts did not end for the benefit of the First Touch Recorder in a percentage of (28.89%.) The direct exclusion bouts were (24) bouts in the following rounds (4-8-16-32- Final). (13) bouts of them ended in favor of the First Touch Recorder in a percentage of (54.17%). While the other (11) bouts did not end in the favor of the First Touch Recorder in a percentage of (45.83%). Accordingly, the researchers recommend the need to address the psychological preparation of fencers and to specify enough time for it within daily training units. Further study related research were also recommended to include some anthropometrics, motor and technical characteristics and their relationship with the level of performance as well the preparation of training programs to develop the tactical knowledge and the level of tactical disposition of the offensive skills of epeeists. Finally, similar studies were recommended on other men and women fencers with other weapons. | ||
