Abstract: This study was Conducted at the Experimental farm Al-Mishkab Rice Research Station at Al-Najaf Governorate during summer season of 2012 and 2013 to investigate the effect of Irrigation periods and foliar spray with Algae fertilizar and ethephon on some characteirs quality of Rice CV.(Anbar33 ).The experiment was arranged in a split-split plot in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replicaters .The Main plots consisted irrigation periods every (day, 3 , 5) days. The sub-plots were the Algae fertilizer levels (0 , 2 , 4) kg/ha .The sub-sub plots consisted Ethephon levels (0.0.360, 0.720) kg /ha . Analysis of variance and their means were compared in accordance to least significant differences( LSD) ware 0.05 probaility level . The results summarized as follows : Irrigation periods (3) days caused a significantly increases percentage of grain extraction which approached 62.36 and 61.71%, as compared with Irrigation periods (5) days which had given the least mean of grain extraction approached 58.49 and 57.15% in both seasons respectively. Also increasing of Algae fertilization level had a significant effect in all quality characters in both seasons. Algae (4) kg/ha which had given hights mean of percentage protein approached 10.36 , 8.72 % compared with treatment control, which had given the least mean of percentage protein approached 9.45 , 7.48% in both seasons respectively. Ethephon foliar did not significant effect in all quality characters except the percentage protein in both the seasons . The combination between irrigation (3) days and Ethephon (0.360) kg/ha , Algae (4) kg/ha, had given hights mean of grain extraction that approached 63.75% in the first season. where as,in the scond season the combind treatment irrigation (3) days and Ethephon (0.720) kg/ha + Algae (4) kg/ha which had given hights mean of grain extraction that approached 62.73% as, compared with the combind treatment Irrigation period (5) days with treatments not spray which, had given the least mean of grain extraction approached 57.44 and 56.31% in both seasons respectively. | ||
